ELTRA GmbH becomes part of the Verder Scientific Division

The Verder Group, a German-Dutch family-owned technology group, is expanding its portfolio in the laboratory market. Since March 16, 2012, ELTRA GmbH from Neuss has belonged to the group's laboratory equipment division. Founded in 1981, the company is a leading manufacturer of combustion analyzers and achieved sales of around EUR 10 million in the 2011 financial year. At the headquarters in Neuss, ELTRA employs 35 highly qualified employees. Among other things, this is where the development, final assembly and testing of the analysis devices take place.


"We are particularly happy that the founder and managing director of ELTRA, Mr. Polemitis, would like to stay on board in the coming years and will continue to develop ELTRA together with us," says Andries Verder, managing partner of the Verder Group.


As part of the Verder laboratory equipment division, ELTRA benefits in particular from the global sales and marketing strength of the group with activities in over 80 countries. dr Jürgen Pankratz, head of the Verder laboratory division and managing director of Retsch GmbH in Haan near Düsseldorf, will in future also be responsible for the company based in Neuss, whose locations and the ELTRA brand will be continued.

Starting with combustion analyzers for carbon and sulfur analysis, ELTRA has expanded its product range over the years to include oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analyzers. The company is continuously increasing its share of the world market with high-quality devices at a good price/performance ratio. Customers can be found in the steel, automotive and aerospace industries, as well as in mining.
